Places of Operation

Three former Northeast Ohio settings that trace the mature headquarters, related branch-office network, and final operating chapter of Argo Futures Group.

Collection introduction

An institutional record in three locations

Argo Futures Group operated from several Northeast Ohio locations during its twenty-four-year history. These offices were more than mailing addresses. They reflected the scale of the firm at different stages of its development: the professional infrastructure of its mature Science Park headquarters, a nearby office used to accommodate a related business, and the deliberately chosen downtown Akron office from which Argo concluded operations.

Argo Futures Group's flagship headquarters during its mature operating period. The firm occupied first-floor space in this approximately 85,000-square-foot office building. The existing archive records approximately 5,500 square feet of directly documented headquarters space; the founder recalls a broader first-floor and related accommodated footprint approaching 10,000 square feet at its peak.

Mature-period headquarters

Corporate Place — Science Park headquarters

25800 Science Park Drive, Beachwood, Ohio

Argo's principal headquarters during its mature operating period was located on the first floor of Corporate Place, 25800 Science Park Drive in Beachwood, Ohio. The white, three-story building shown in the surviving archive photograph was constructed in 1988 and is publicly described as a Class A office property of approximately 85,500 to 86,700 square feet. The modest variation among public figures reflects different rentable, usable, and total-building measurements.

The existing Argo Company History records approximately 5,500 square feet of headquarters space at Science Park. The founder's fuller recollection is that Argo's first-floor operation and associated accommodated space grew to, or approached, approximately 10,000 square feet at its broadest point. These figures may refer to different scopes: directly documented Argo headquarters space versus the larger first-floor and related-business footprint. Until lease records establish the exact allocation, the archive preserves that distinction rather than replacing one figure with the other.

This was the firm's flagship headquarters. It housed the brokers, compliance function, executive support, communications systems, and operational infrastructure required by the substantially larger organization Argo had become by the period leading into the 2011 MF Global collapse. A surviving public business record also places Argo Futures Group, Inc. in Suite 110 at this address.

Related branch-office location

One Corporate Exchange — a related branch office

25825 Science Park Drive, Beachwood, Ohio

Across the Science Park office campus, One Corporate Exchange at 25825 Science Park Drive provided another professional setting connected with Argo's operating history. Public property information identifies it as a four-story Class A building of approximately 88,800 square feet, centered on a two-story atrium and set within the same Beachwood office market.

According to the founder's recollection, Argo accommodated a branch office in this building for a separate but related business. It is therefore presented as part of Argo's broader operating network, not as the company's primary headquarters and not as evidence that Argo occupied the entire building.

Final operating office

A return to Akron: the final office

121 South Main Street, Akron, Ohio

Argo's final operating office was located at Main Place, 121 South Main Street in downtown Akron, Ohio. Public property records describe Main Place as a five-story Class A office building constructed in 1992, with approximately 105,880 to 110,000 square feet. The building is connected to downtown Akron's Skywalk system and stands near Cascade Plaza and Lock 3.

The location carries unusual personal significance in Argo's history. According to the founder, the same building had housed the first enterprise in which he worked when he entered the derivatives industry. Years later, Argo intentionally returned to 121 South Main Street for its final operating office.

The space was taken with the understanding that Argo's operating life was nearing its conclusion. That decision made the address symbolic: the founder's derivatives career and the firm he later built ended in the same building where his industry experience had begun. The office remained one of his favorite Argo locations, remembered for its downtown setting, professional interior, and broad views across central Akron.

This was not a new commercial launch. It belongs in the archive as the final physical setting of an orderly wind-down that concluded with Argo's withdrawal from operations in January 2021.
